Part of the vast 12 acre propertyHoly Spirit Interactive (HSI) celebrates its third birthday today! Despite being a relatively new apostolate, it reaches out to over half a million people each month through nearly a dozen ministries that include the popular and powerful HSI Discipleship Program, the acclaimed website HSI On-Line, the fast growing HSI Outreach Ministry and the very successful HSI Global Prayer Circle.
Coming in 2007 are the HSI School of Discipleship, in which interested Christians will be trained into positions of leadership over a period of two years; the HSI Retreat Center, where spiritual retreats of various sorts will be held on a regular basis; and HSI Lend a Hand, a ministry targeted at helping the poor and the marginalized.
HSI Lend a Hand got off to a start on the first day of the New Year with a meal provided to the 400 inmates of St. Anthony's Charity Institute run by Fr. Clifford. The inmates include the mentally challenged, the mentally disturbed, orphaned children and alcoholics, and though I felt a little awkward with them, I was delighted to see Glenda (my wife) feel totally at ease!
